Hey everyone, I just upgraded my needles from the CN-15's that came with my Gemini TT-2000s to the Shure M44-7's. They come with a technics headshell which I installed, the scratching sounds much better but they aren't tracking correctly as the Time code signal is fluctuating with them (only slightly but enough to make pops and cracks in the music). Ive repositioned the cartridge to make the needle at an angle but this didn't really help. Also the Cartridge is dragging on the record just barely but enough to make a noise, and today I noticed a terrible distortion in the sound when loading a track on another deck. Its frustrating paying so much for needles when the crappy CN-15's sound better. I'm trying to avoid removing the cartridge and putting it on the stock headshell but I think this is what I might need to do. Anyone have any suggestions (besides get better TT's cuz i know this =P) Thanks!
