Tópico: Can you Dishwasher platers?

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

I have a sneaky feeling that my plater is covered in wax/ polish.

I went to clean it with a damp sponge and the water just beaded. Obv not what i'm wanting. I'm getting to much slip atm.

I was wondering if i can put the platter is a dish washer so that the chemicals would wash off the wax/ polish? I would only put it on a medium temp as it may cause it damage.

Thanks

Try one of those copper pan scrubbers or a brillo pad. Rubbing alcohol or water and bleach may work well too , as they should dissolve the wax a little. I guess the dishwasher couldn't hurt as the platters should be all aluminum so they shouldn't rust, but as a precaution get them dry as soon as possible. I think the real question is, why is there wax on there?

But anyways, hope that helps.

Hi

You need a chemicle called siroflex solvent cleaner, I use it all the time for all sorts of jobs mainly on plastics, it removes stains, marks etc.

It will 100% clean off any wax / oil, then use the siroflex window cleaner, again the best window cleaner I have ever used for a final clean up

google it, you should find it at any comercial outlet

Hope this helps,

Kind regards
