Are you talking about the MacPro (desktop) or MacBook Pro (Laptop) as they are completely seperate items.
I have the MacPro at home and the 17" MacBook Pro for DJ work.
As far as the MacBook Pro is concerned, I find the video does not work well at all and is quite temperamental. Not a problem for me as I DJ pretty much audio only. The Mac version of VDJ is not as complete and missing some functionality but is being worked on. You can read more on the mac forum. VDJ for video is still not perfect in all cases as there seems to be compatibility issues with some video cards on Windows as well.
Audio wise I find the Asio latency better on the Mac than with windows.
You can always bootcamp and run the Windows version of VDJ until the Mac version improves. It seems to be that serious video DJ's are sticking with VDJ on Windows at the moment but I guess there probably are Mac users doing video successfully and will post here to let you know what kit they have.

A have 0 problems on y Macbook Pro running video. Run for hours with cero crashes. It is super stable on Mac (Video). Video transitions work ok. The limitations on Mac are the lack of video effects and that scratch does not feel tight. The only time I crashed one of my 2 macs was abusing the pandora's box video effects. Just buy a Mac with dedicated video memory not an integrated one like the 13" Macbook Pro or the 15" that only has an nvidia 9400.

Ok apreciate the help, will do more research On the MacBook has not long ago spend $3000 au dollars on my hp7. Not happy but with the results but like I got a buyer for my back up toshiba laptop which is only 8 months old. I was hooping that vdj would work better on the mac. Good work guys that is what is holding me back on vdj and because I like the software I know they will fix it eventually. If other video software can work well with any system so it will vdj

How bout with 6.07?
I really want the updated interface and features of 6.07, users shouldnt have to deal with downgrading back to an old release for stability. when i used video i WILL say it went well. But it took forever for transitions, took a minut for the video to run smoothly (i guess to load the track) and for 2 videos, the transitions are slow and bog down my mbp with the 256 dedicated video memory. not sure if i can upgrade my early 2008 mbp to higher video?

Does the virtual vinyl soundcard work with the new mac snow leopard? Does the driver come with the virtual vinyl 6 update or is it simple as plug and play??
