Tópico: MIXING WITH V-DJ

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

If I want to mix a set, using V-DJ, and want to record it in stages, <create a mix and go back and change it if I'm not satisfied> will V-DJ allow me to stop and continue, or, do I have to record it all in one non-stop session?

Thanks

VDJ will just mix what you play in to a single track. The only way to do what you want to do (I think) with VDJ is to record the first part, then when you want to ecord the second part you simply treat the first mix as the first track in your new mix and then continue when it finishes...

Humm..I think youre thinking as in a Midi Sequencer where some call it Recording a Sequence (actually A sequence of events) and being able to go back and change the Sequence. No ..VDJ records a mix just like you would record audio (and Video) on a old Tapedeck ,cd recorder or Dvd and Vcr etc. Now you might use the Auto mix ,make a list that you can change later.when you got the "Sequence" that you want then you Record it! But cant tell you more on that Cause i dont use Auto mix....I go on the Fly!!!!

The only thing you can do is go to your record configs and mark 'split in multiple files'
You can split it manually (click in the scissor that appers beside the start record button) or automatically (mark the option and everytime you change the software crossfader a new file will be created).
But I dont think this can help you to replace one part of the mix. You can do this by editing the mix with a dedicated software (as audacity).
I hope this can help you.
