I have been collecting videos for the last year
and I think I am ready now to mix videos., I have a collection over 4000 Videos
and I am looking for advice on my setup.

I am going to buy a new laptop for this
so I have a chance to get the ultimate setup but am unable to find this help
from searching the Forum..

here is what I am looking at:

System 1:
Operating System
Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium
Memory 3 GB DDR3 SDRAM 1066MHz (2 DIMMs)Hard Disk Drive
512MB NVIDIA GeForce GT 240M

Note I am not limited to these two laptops
it's just the first 2 laptops I could find that I thought would do well.
 

Ether one of those will work fine. What format are the videos you will be using?

Might have just gone with a macbook pro and install windows 7 along.



What video card does the macs come with
I know they are just intel hardware nowadays.

 

Comparable mac book is $900 more!! yikes
 

I'm looking at the asus also, if you went with it I'm curious how it has worked out for you and if you had any issues with windows 64 bit. I do almost all videos and will be using tje vms4 when it is releases. Thanks

13in macbook pro can be had for 1200. with 512 dedicated ram...
