Howdy folks,
I've been fooling around with VDJ for awhile now with my Hercules RMX, and I love it, but now I want real decks and a real mixer, so A) if my laptop explodes, which we all know can happen, I can switch over to MP3s via memory stick or CD and play without it and B) Work well with VDJ and it's mapping. I had to manually map my UCe33 controller, and yucko to that.
I am willing to spend the money if the decks are worth it.
I have seen those gorgeous CDJ-2000s, but, do I really need that? I'm not Paul Oakenfeid or DJ Sasha... yet =p
Seriously though.
I have been looking at the CDJ-400s, the DN-s3700s and the DN-S1200, I heard good and bad about all three, and I see the VDJ recommends it on their main site, but those decks seem to be getting out of date.
And as far as the mixer goes do I really need to drop $1600 bucks on a mixer like the DJM-800? I mean yea, that mixer is amazing, but... really?
So I have 2 questions...
A) is there a list with newer more up-to-date hardware products that map to VDJ? (easily if possible)
B) What feed back do you have on those particular decks and mixers?
I do both, DJing online (via shoutcast stream) and DJ for parties and gigs offline.
Thank you all in advance for the feedback and glad to be a pro user now =)
