Whats up everyone, quick question for my gig tonight. I'm running hercules RMX and timcode TT's at a gig tonight 4 hrs. I usually play with "ultra latency aiso" checked. What are the benefits of using this? If it sounds fine without it should I leave it unchecked? A quick response would be great, thanks! =D

depends on how strong your processor is. better off just playing without it coz your straining the hardware. u dont want to do anything experimental at the gig...

Ultra Latency has nothing to do with how good a processor is in your machine. It actually has to do with the how good the quality of the drivers are for the device you are using. And for the Hercules products you should be able to use the Ultra Latency checked.
There are some ASIO devices out there that have shotty drivers by unchecking the Ultra Latency option there is a slightly difference process used in communicating with the device.

Cstoll thanks for the response, I always wondered what exactly it did. Now I know =). The gig went well, I played with the box ticked. My first gig downtown!! Halfway through they made me turn the music down, people called and complained from a block away lol. 2 Carvin Powered 15's on a 4th story roof apparently carries well =).
