the real scoop on twinkies http://www.hostesscakes.com/twinkies.asp
Twinkies by the Numbers:
◦500 million: The number of Twinkies baked each year.
◦10: The minutes it takes to bake a Twinkie.
◦1930: The year James Dewar invented the two-for-a-nickel treat.
◦150: The number of calories in one Twinkie.
◦50: The number of recipes in the Twinkies Cookbook.
◦7: The number of Twinkies needed to make the "Patriotic Twinkie Pie" recipe in the Twinkies Cookbook.

i would almost be willing to bet that you could find twinkies in a military base that has an american contingent like
RAF Lakenheath, Brandon, Suffolk
RAF Menwith Hill, Yorkshire Dales
RAF Mildenhall, Mildenhall
RAF Croughton, Upper Heyford
RAF Alconbury, Cambridgeshire
where we go... our junk foods follow.

I miss Lucky Charms..
Mensajes Mon 10 May 10 @ 12:02 pm
so this entire thread has cost me - a couple dollars for a box, probably a pound on the scale, and an argument over who got the last twinkie in the box. she won of course.
can't...resist...
somebody get the man a twinkie!

we used to get jolly ranchers, but only the little square ones. watermellon was my favourite flavor. not seen them now for about 15 year here in the U.K.

Twinkies... Tried 'em... Never saw what all the fuss was about...
Now Reese's Peanut Butter Cups - That's a whole new level ;-)
Then there's the Peanut Butter M&M's... Man they're good. Whenever Anyone goes on holiday to the US I get them to bring me back a few bags - Big Bags!!!!
Also your normal M&M's are milk chocolate whereas ours are plain. In Scandinavia I remember getting almond M&M's a few years ago, maybe even Hazlenut...
Cheers,
Roy
