Tópico: Question about the Numark NS7

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Well I am most likely going to purchase a ns7 in the near future so I was reaserching it a bit more in depth and I'm not completely sure on this but if you turn scratch mode off does it enter cdj mode and turn off the motor? If thats true would there be a way to map the controller so the motor will stay on even if you turn off scratch mode or turn it back on? Like is there a way to have the platter spinning no matter if scratch mode is on or off so the only time the platter stops moving is if the song is paused or cued otherwise if music is playing on a deck that platter will spin. Because I will have scratch mode turned off most of the time except for messing around for fun, so most of the time if its true that the motor turns off when scratch mode is turned off then my platters would not be motorized a lot of the time which takes a lot of the awe factor out of the ns7 because thats a pretty unique feature. So if its true about scratch mode and the motor while using vdj does anyone know a way to map it so it does not do that. The only way I can think of is setting scratch mode to enable cd mode but then that is a hassle having to go back to the mapper and change what the scratch mode button does every time i want to scratch so hopefully turning off scratch mode does not dissable the motor and if it does hopefully someone knows how to map around it

Hello,
Yes it will become a CDJ pitch bend with the motor off by default.
You can map the controller to meet your desired function using the mapping engine.

you can turn the motor on or off...there is a button for that on the NS7

I think you guys missunderstood me what I'm trying to do is figure out how to map the scratch off button and the led scratch off button so that when the led is not on it is in vinyl mode but when the led is on it is in cd mode but I want to be able to switch from vinyl mode to cd mode without turning off the motor, the problem is im having trouble mapping the ns7 platters because the actions are all weird stuff like
get ns7 platter 'on' which are unique actions to the ns7 so if anyone can tell me how to map what I want to do would be greatly appreciated

There is no such thing as CD mode with the platter motors ON ... if the platters are spinning that is Vinyl Mode, if they are not spinning that is CD mode. You can not map it any other way and it doesn't work any other way.

Ok thats what I was starting to think after a long time of tinkering with it but whatever thats cool thanks for the help and giving me a clear answer
