Hey there,
When I open my Virtual Vinyl software it has started popping up an error message now saying "Error in the ASIO sound driver",
which never used to happen. If I try to go into ASIO config, it won't open a popup so I can choose what soundcard I want to use.
I have Realtek which came with my laptop, but I want to use Plantronics, which I recently purchased.
After I click OK and go back into the software from the Settings panel, it'll bring up a similar message but more info, saying:
"Error in the ASIO sound driver - not enough channels". I don't understand why it's saying there's not enough channels?
Strange thing is, I never did anything to change my software, it just started doing this out of the blue. I tried upgrading to 6.1,
but that didn't help and am still getting the error.
Any ideas/fixes here?

When mine did that it was because my Wi Fi button was on.

This happens when the last known asio card that WAS connected is not connected when you open vdj, that or the drivers are corrupt.
Please look at your sound settings first and make sure the VV card is selected as the asio device and the channels are properly assigned.

Okay, I don't get the error message anymore, but now it's not letting me choose between my Plantronics soundcard or Realtek soundcard. It lets me highlight each one, but if i close the box (it doesn't have an 'OK' button btw, you have to just click the 'X' to close out the ASIO config box) and then it defaults back to Realtek instead of using my Plantronics. The reason I know this, is because when I go back into ASIO config again, Realtek is highlighted once again. How do I switch it to Plantronics and make it stay on Plantronics? FYI: Plantronics is my wireless headset soundcard and Realtek is the soundcard that came with my M11x Windows 7 Home Edition...
Any ideas here?

In that case you want to select the Phones in box 2 and 2 card option in box 3 selecting the card for main and usb phones for the monitor channel.
This will not work in asio, set it up as above.

Where is "box 2" and "box 3"?? I don't see anything titled that anywhere. Are you referring to the diamond button at the bottom being box 2 and the monkeywrench icon as box 3? If so, those options aren't available...
If you're not referring to those being box 2 and 3, are you referring to the 'outputs' pull-down being box 2? If so, I AM ABLE to choose 'Headphones' from that menu; however, I'm not able to choose a '2 card' option for the 'ASIO' pull-down menu (box 3?)...the only thing in that pull-down is one choice: ASIO driver...so where do I choose 2 card from?
If I'm wrong on both these accounts as to what box 2 and 3 are...where are they?
