More than likely the muppet post of the day but ... Why do I get a major volume drop in a deck when I load a track into the other deck. Something to do with my settings!? I've tried fiddling around with them but it still occurs and I'm not talking about a negligible drop, it's quite pronounced!

Cheers

Yes it was the muppet post of the day. Got the RMX linked up and had the headphones mostly over to cue, so I think that was the problem. :o)

Nope sorry it's back and worse, probably a loss of about 20%. Also twice on the bounce I've loaded a track while one is playing and it kills the volume totally, dead! This is not good. I said in another post I've had Vdj and Cue for a couple of years but never been brave enough to use it live as I don't trust it and I'm sorry to say this problem justifies my views.

I'm keen to use it but at the moment Ots is still favourite. Help would be much appreciated, thanks.

Check your config setup. I have had this when I've used my gig machine without the controller plugged in (doing some VDJ tweaks) and VDJ reverts to the "mono separated" setup.

The noise drop you hear could be because you are loosing one channel when you load a track in to the other deck.

Worth a check.

Cheers,

Roy

You're not playing the track before it has fully loaded are you?

Where do I find 'mono separated'?

Config -> Sund Setup

If the "Sound card" drop down is set to "mono Separated" then your stereo output will be split as per the "Outputs" dropdown.
