Tópico: Numark iBattlepack +Hercules MK2+TCVs?

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Hey guys I\'m in need of help and the people at Guitar Center couldn\'t seem to help me very much haha. I currently own the Hercules MK2 but am looking to upgrade to some real turntables! I want to be able to play real vinyl records and time coded records but I have a 500-600 dollar budget.

So I was looking at the Numark iBattlepack which includes two Numark TT1625 turntables and I watched some videos and read some reviews and it seems pretty decent for the price. The only problem is Serato. I don\'t have another $500 to spend on Serato so I was looking for an alternative.

I heard you can use the Maya-44 soundcard with VDJ and Serato TCVs (or any other timecoded vinyl for that matter). Thats around $120 and is affordable. The guy at GC said i should use Traktor Duo but thats another $350.

Also, I dont care what program I use, im actually happy with VDJ.

i was wondering what you guys think about Maya-44 or if there were any other alternatives. apparently my Hercules MK2 does not have a sound card so i cant use that (so says the GC employee)

I thought the mk2 WAS a sound card considering it had all the inputs and outputs. So basically what I want to know is; can I use my MK2 instead of buying Serato or any other soundcard such as Maya 44. If I hook up the Numark TT-1625s to the Hercules Mk2 I can play both real vinyls and serato TCV through VDJ?

Thank you for the help its much appreciated!

The MK2 is indeed a sound card. But you will need VDJ Professional version to take advantage of timecode use.

May I suggest you consider Virtual Vinyl it includes a sound-card already, includes the vinyls cables and a pro copy of the software.

The MK2 would work I used to do this, however it would duplicate the controls. Usually in a timecode setup you would use an analog mixer which you have from your pack.

At the end of the day you need to choose what workflow works best for you :-)
