Tópico: Recording Question

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

I've been using VDJ pro for months now but recently my computer was wiped.. meaning I lost everything including my VDJ pro software. I am using the basic version I got with the Hercules MK2 but I just found out the recording feature does not come with version 4.3 and I don't have the money to re upgrade to pro right now.

So my question is are there any ways I can record my sets/mixes without paying for anything.

If you had Pro before why didnt you register your software? Just upgrade and take full advantage of all the things VDJ has to offer.

I should have done that and we wouldnt have had this problem. But we do so that doesn't really help my cause any haha. . So do I have to pay the 250$ and upgrade if I want to record my sets or is there a way around it?

hi! if you had the pro version you just have to click on the "download center" link when you are logged in. the pro willl always be available once you have bought and thats what you already did according to your first post.

anyway you can use any audio recording software out there to record your mixes. just do a quick google search.

best regards.

interesting.. how did you purchase VDJ Pro in the first place? Online?
If you actually purchased it, then contact customer support
http://www.virtualdj.com/contact/
They will have your address and name on file and can verify that you are a paid Pro user..

Personally, I have trouble believing that you paid for the pro version, didnt register it, and lost the emails you would have recieved with the receipt and activation code (sorry, but it seems much more likely you were a crack user)
Since you already have a LE version of VDJ, that entitles you to a serious discount, your best bet is too upgrade to the Pro Version (and I think its cheaper then $250 with your discount??)

I didn't pay for it, a friend showed me his cracked version and sent it to me. When my computer was wiped, I decided that I would buy the hercules controller mk2 with the basic VDJ software because I really enjoyed what VDJ had to offer. So I was just wondering if there is any particular audio recording software I can use until I gather up enough money to upgrade to pro (which I plan to do eventually)

Anyway I learned that its much better to buy the software rather than use a pirated software which can cause so many problems.

Regardless, thats done with. So my question still remains lol

Any suggestions for a recording software untill I upgrade to pro the right way?

Thanks a lot for the co-operation

Hey,

Download Audacity. Set it up so that it records the output of your sound card. (This is all done internally.) I had to make sure that in my computer audio properties settings for recording, I had "Stereo Mix" selected. Your mileage will vary depending on what sound card and operating system you have. It works fine and is a great way to record something that may be difficult otherwise such as when listening to an internet radio station.

Jopen9,

You should qualify for a discount with the Hercules MkII. Just go to the Buy page when you are logged in, go to the upgrade section enter your serial number and it should give you your upgrade price.

Cheers,

At last, someone with some honesty and respect. So many cracked users go about things the wrong way on the forums. I admire your honesty and the fact that you've got a bought a controller with the basic version.

Hope to see you as a licensed pro user soon! :-)

Thanks a lot for the help guys. I'll try to mess around with audacity to see if I can get it working.

I'm going to upgrade as soon as I can afford to. I do have a discount as well which helps a lot.

If there are any more suggestions guys I'm open to them!

Cheers!
