hello all. I've been given a replacement (dual core, bigger ram etc) for my Lovely little Dell Latitude d630 and am having problems getting it to run smoothly. The sound jerks and jumps slightly especially when searching and loading a new track onto the player. i've gone through the Hercules tech advise regarding turning off wireless etc but it still happening!! any other tips etc? also got a plug in that turns off background programes and nowt seems to make it work smoothly...

Intel core Duo 2.0GHz
3Gb Ram DDR2/120 GB HDD
running XP Pro.
