Just downloaded echo plug in and placed in teh sound effect folder in virtual dj but it is not showing in the program.
Any ideas?

If you downloaded EchoOut http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/661/EchoOut.html then unfortunately this effect is not compatible with or available for Mac.
Mac compatible plugins have an Apple logo floppy disk download icon.
If this is not present (Windows icon only), then it is not available for Mac.
NOTE: Most of the downloadable effects and other add-ons are made by talented users of VirtualDJ. If the author does not own a Mac or does not wish to port their plugin to the Mac platform then unfortunately the effect will not be available for Mac.

The plugin was created by macourteau and the source is available so with his permission it could be ported to the Mac platform.

SBDJ.. would you be willing to port the "Show Logo" plugin over to Mac since the source file is available? I just got a Mac and this plugin has been CRUCIAL for me on my PC

The best person to port that would probably be djcel since it is his plugin.
One thing that is worth mentioning is that porting audio plugins is generally easier than video plugins. Audio plugins will usually just need a tidy up and possibly an SDK update. Video plugins are a complete rewrite and for more complex plugins definately not a simple undertaking.

Just thought I'd mention that I've ported EchoOut for Mac OS X. I've done basic tests and it seems to work well. Please let me know with a PM if you have any problems; I unfortunately don't have time to check the VirtualDJ forums often... :)
You can also let me know via PMs if there are any other of my plugins that you'd like to see for Mac OS X, I'll see if I can port them. I don't have much free time, but I can maybe port a few if people want them!
