Tópico: more video problems with new computer.....

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Ok. Built a new computer to try and get away from the problems with video, but I guess it did not work. I am using an Intel I7 -960 with 6 gig RAM Windows 7 64 bit with a 1 gig ATI 4850 video card. The video will freeze for a few seconds while it is playing and I have it max load but it sometimes won't fully load when I reap and drop. I really need with this.

If I cant get this to work then I will have to try Serato Sl. Dont want to but I have a place that wants video.

forgot to add, I am playing videos in MP4 format off an external drive via usb 2.0. I also tried to play some videos directly off of the computers hard drive and same thing was happening.

What is your video mem free setting

Don't know how do I tell?

ricki have a vista system that is 99% glitch free for video

i never used the registry tool b4 but i just downloaded it ....

my graphic card is 1 gig and ati radeon 4350

the mem free is 1007 should i leave it alone or try setting to half ?

most of the glitches are with the clipbank ( i have 2 clipbanks at present)

Clip bank can be a load yes, and yes I would set it up as I described.
Virtual dj doesn't need it.

And its "Rick" Chuckywucky...

sorry that's my hideous typing , didn't realize i did that

i learned how to type from Marvin "Stonefingers" Throneberry .......

thanks for the video tip

and it's harumph , Chuck ee Wucky ......

Ok, I ran the registry tool it said I had 1010 free so I set it to 505. I won't have the time though until Tue to test it out, I will let you know how it works, thanks!!!

Hey Rick,

I recently got my Dell Studio laptop which has been giving some issues with vdj (v6.1) and videos. Whenever I am playing my vobs/mp4s, the frames tend to freeze at certain points then continue. I have tried relentlessly in finding a solution to this problem in updating drivers both from Dell website and AMD which have all proven futile util I saw this post.
I d/l the registry utility and followed the instruction for the video setting and let me tell Rick, I cannot believe that the issue is NO MORE, you are the man. Thank you very much uncle Rick...

Cheers!!!

Glad its working for you now.

If you should read of anybody else having this problem, pass it on please.

Oh, I did this on my Dell laptop that has an nVidia card that had the freezing problem when I would crossfade with the hardware acceleration on and I could not get it to freeze today when I had it hooked up to my old Hercules (the original one) that I found in my closet. I will see how it works on the other tomorrow or Tue, thanks Rick....

Was having the same problem . . . WAS . . . Thanks Rick.
