As the title states, I'm new to Virtual DJ. I can load 2 or 3 songs to the deck and then it freezes up. Here's what I'm running:
Virtual DJ DJC 5.2.2 (I don't have the pro version)
Hercules RMX (2.HDJS.2010)
Windows Vista Version 6.0 (Build 6002: Service Pack 2)
Dell Dimension E520 Intel Core2 6300 @ 1.86 GHz (Ram 4.0 GB) (32 Bit Operating System)
Hard Drive Used 132GB and have 155GB Available
I'm running the USB from the computer to the RMX and then I have a line out from the RMX to an external amp and speakers (So I think I'm running off the ASIO card). I haven't touched any of the settings, and I can't see the config button (I don't think I have this because I don't have the pro version). The songs play well for 2 or 3 tracks and then VDJ freezes when I try to load another and I have to restart the program. This problem happens when I load songs from Music\iTunes\iTunesMusic\XX(Artist)\XX(Album)\XX(Track) or if I take them directly off a usb drive. The files are .m4a but they are DRM free as I have uploaded them directly from CDs to iTunes. When I have VDJ running, at most I might have one Internet Explorer window open but I'm not surfing or downloading anything while I'm using VDJ.
I really want this to work, as this was a new purchase that I can't return to the store due to software policies. So thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

first step is, you should try and optimize your computer into a working DJ computer..
IE: remove bloatware, and disable/remove anything that is not needed by VDJ to run
