We've trawled the official releases, studied the YouTube videos, done some round-the-office analysis and got early feedback from our readers... and our conclusion? That Native Instruments has come up with a surefire winner here! Well done chaps. Now lets get it mapped to Virtual DJ!

This is an incredible looking piece of kit - far and away the best of its kind that I've ever seen.
If I were still actively DJing, I'd drop a grand on this in a heartbeat, unless the reviewers come away with some major dealbreaking news.
This is exactly what I have been wanting from a controller from the beginning. It has all the controls that I want and need, and functions as a full blown DJ mixer and audio interface. It really doesn't look like they have left anything out!
Well... maybe an extra crossfader for video, but there are plently of extra knobs here, so i'm sure one could be mapped :) I'd love to have a play with this. I'm sure Atomix will get this mapped in no time - this looks like it could become a pretty big product for the mid-range DJ product industry.

This is Native Instrument's product page for it -- lots of good info and photos there:

I can see how you would not like the placement of the jogs - I'd almost be worried about bumping the faders if I quickly went to grab the jogs or something... but I am sure that it would not be that hard to get used to.

I like the position of wheels. Also there is a lot of space around faders and wheels, so chance of accidentally bumping something is minimal.
Major advatange comparing to vms4 and denon-mc6000 is volume indicators for every channel and master. That's very important for me using 4-channel mixer. Only competitor is A&H :DX controller.
I really really hope someone does a good mapper for this and there will be also a real Asio driver support!
It seems this will be released a month before denon mc-6000, so let's see how it turns out.
