Tópico: Setup Issues for VDJ

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

I am wanting to run VDJ with multiple monitors. The monitors are LCD TV's with a variety of inputs. I have found that none of Apple's Laptops support multiple monitors or projects. This means a splitter will not work. My question is what are some of you using to split your outgoing videos. I have found online TripleHead2Go from Matrox but does it really work. Suggestions/Comments please.

This doesn't make any sense. I've tried several vga splitters and only one screen works at a time. I am starting to think maybe I need to look at something like triplehead2go but I'm not sure. Plus I'd hate to spend the money if I don't have to. I've spoken to other DJs and they swear all they are using is a VGA splitter. I realize this isn't a VDJ issue as much as it is a Mac issue...Help anyone I'm losing my mind!

You should try composite. like the yellow RCA wire. You could probably split that, get the apple adapter with the composite and s-video on the end and use a simple 2 dollar RCA splitter on the yellow composite output and try it. Composite can't send back data to the computer so it should just broadcast no matter what. You will have to play with the resolution in OSX to get it it to work properly.

Thanks, I'm going to Mac store this weekend to try that as well as trying out my other MBP 17" model before the unibodies were released. That has a DVI output and might make a difference. In my search I have noticed many posts where Macs just weren't recognized by projectors and or monitors when splitting the video signal. I have also ordered the Tritton SEE2 Xtreme to see if that will solve my issues. There has got to be somebody on this forum using a Mac (obviously) and running multiple monitors when using VDJ, be a mobile DJ or club DJ and if that person does exist then please tell me what you use to split and even boost that video signal to multiple screens. As I even hooked up an old Avertec laptop I've had for six or seven years and it immediately split the video signal no problem and that pc has an older than dirt video card. I'm so depressed...

Found a solution. I purchased a Mini to HDMI cable for my mac then a HDMI Splitter Box 1/4 (one in four out). Now I have no issues in running video not to mention the fact I can run an additional two more monitors!!! I still do not know what caused the VGA splitter to fail however no biggie as I would prefer the HDMI cables anyways...Yes I know they are much more expensive.

fyi on the splitter boxes you must first connect the splitter only then output once its running then you can connect the tv's if you don't then only one tv will work at a time.
