Hi, i have just got the v5 for mac and r really enjoying it, a fantastic dj tool. However, i have some troubles with some song that i try to load onto my decks, most of my library work just fine, but some songs just gives me an error when i try to load them on my decks.
My question is then, is there specific filetypes that doesn't work with v5? I have noticed that songs that i download from the iTunes store, zippy or by at Beatport work just fine, but the ones i get from soundcloud and mediafire, or the ones i create in Logic Pro dosen't work. Can this last heory be true? Can i convert the files that doesen't work or something? Any solutions will be greatly appreciated!

I ran into this problem, and I isolated the files that didn't load. I found them to be .m4a and .mp4 extensions. For some reason, VDJ doesn't have the codec support for those file types. You simply need to convert them to .mp3
My fix:
Go to iTunes>preferences>import settings>import using : mp3 encoder, click okay and close preferences.
select songs that give you a loading error on VDJ>right click/whatever you mac users do, lol>convert to .mp3
...and voila! it creates an exact duplicate, only encoded as an .mp3 file, which should load onto your VDJ decks. Make sure you restart VDJ so that your file browser can refresh itself. You can convert as many files as you want at once, just select however many you need to convert and go!

My fix:
