Maybe it is already possible but I would like to have the following ability:
A song is stopped or "waiting" at one of the cue points, When you hit the stop button it will play from this cue point until you release the stop button and the song will return to the cue point again. When you hit stop again it will play again until you release the button.
This function is also present on the Pioneer CDJ CD players and with this option it is easy to use as a sampler.
I know that you could do almost the same with the start and stop buttons, but one button is easier to use I think.

You can do that by editing the xml file of the skin (I am sure)

You do have this function on the right mouse button...
right click the play button, release it and right click it again and see what happens...

If you want them to work this way - like a sampler, set them
''momentarity''. If you have a midi Keyboard+ver 1.05
assign cues to midi keyboard.
Thats it. The easiest - perfect -real time sampler
in the world. - NO LATENCY even with a crappy soundblaster.
As you see i'm one of the biggest fun of Vdj.
It is because i have many years of experience in sampling-
-scratching (i was awarded for this-best scratch Dj in my country, 10 years ago-DMC Awards) and made some records and cd's too..)
I can tell you this software can do what i had in my mind
years before, before pionner and everything.
Is a really creative tool if you know how to use its 100%

when someone ask...why Virtual Dj don't make.. cofee !!
But his job is not to make cofee...

many thanks, exact the functionality I was looking for.
Also thanks to Apopsis, this is also a good idea, works also very well with a normal keyboard. But I almost can't wait for the external controller....

And it can pop popcorn too just by editing the .xml file and adding the jiffypop pointer. lol! ;)

I apologize, didn't knew that virtual dj can make
a coffe and popcorn... just by edit the xml !
I hope it can choose the right amount of sugar
(and remember the settings)
for the cofee when i have guests in my DJ Booth
