Tópico: Latencey on my S-3700'S

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Ok was wondering if someone can explain this to me? Now i want to improve my latency on my Denon S-3700'S where do i do that on my denon asio driver screen? on VDJ? or on my hercules option screen? and by the way im using my rmx as the sound card not the denons. Just want to get the best possible latency for scratching.... Thanks

You should lower the latency on the RMX since that's what's your soundcard set to...

However I would suggest to try the DENON soundcards too to see which of the two can go at a lower level.

Ok let me get this straight to get better latency on the platter on my 3700's i would have to lower the latency on my rmx since im using it as my sound card?

Yes, cause it's the sound that gives the most lag...

Yeah, it's true. The computer sending the 1s and 0s to the sound card and the sound card turning the 1s and 0s into an audio signal is what takes all the time. I guess on a rotating platter it might take it bit of time to process that signal, but the sound card is where it's at.

And you'd guess that the sound card built into an s3700 would be better than the one in an RMX (but I don't know, since I haven't heard either) but I guess to do that you'd need an external mixer, rather than the hercules, if you wanted to use the denons as your sound cards.
