Good Evening to all,

I'm a DJ CONSOLE RMX user, and like many other love it!
Unfortunately the controller, has it's limitations so I've started to draw some projects of a possible version for a RMX2.

I hope you all can give me your honest opinion about the project since it's a personal view and need to get a more mature idea.

DESCRIPTION :

- LOOP AREA - Loop Control similar to default VDJ6

- EFFECT AREA - 6 Effect with P1 and P2 Controler.

- SAMPLE AREA - Selectable Sample from library with on/off and volume control.

- MIC AREA - Selectable Mic Effect with on/off and volume control.

- JOG WHEELS - Sensitive Big Illuminated Jog Wheel similar to VDJ6 Default Skin (not motorized) - Lights on the side of the wheel.

- DECK A / DECK B SCREEN - Info similar to Default VDJ6 Skin: Theme, Time, Time Left, Bpm and track graphic.

- LEVELS - Illuminated Levels next to Deck A/B Volume control.

- MOUSE - Mouse similar to regular Notebook Computer for navigation.

- LED'S - Led's on every button and volume control.

- POWER - External Power Source.

- USB - Usb connection similar to RMX1.

- MASTER VOLUME - Master Volume Control on top of controller.

- SOUND CARD - On board Sound Card Similar to DEEJAY TRIM 4&6 - Front VOLUME Controls to Input

- INPUT - 4 External Input's (2RCA +2PHONO/LINE)

- OUTPUT - 4 Outpu's (2RCA + 2 1/4 JACK)

- SEACH BUTTONS - Can be used to Loop In / Loop Out

Very good and imaginative, would like to see that mic input as an XLR but other than that I like it and would buy one.

Not fussed about big jog's, actually the current one's are perfect as I'm not a scratcher.

Concerning the jog's they are smaller than a regular CDJ but almost double size than the actual RMX...

It sould be a product that suits both Scratcher's both Regular Dj's ... :)

I think this may be a project that put's HERCULES in the market of pro Controllers definitely beacuse unfortunately Hercules is watched by the regular pro dj community as a toy :(

And for example...many pro's today started as bedroom dj's, with hercules "toy" controllers, so if the brand launch a product with professional layout and nice price, that same bedroom dj's now upgrading to pro are going to stay in the brand.
The brand should offer nice upgrade solutions to that group...and let's face it...Hercules is only a tinny bit faraway to be in the pro midi controller market.

It's a fact i love the product...even so, it is seen as a nicer "toy" and that leave's me mad!!!

A Dj is good not by the hardware he uses but by the creativity, knowledge and Technic...

I see many CDJ 2000 Dj's who suck!

And that's a fact....
 
With most programs supporting 4 or more decks, i didn't see any buttons saying deck 3 or 4. You should incorporate that and add an 8 in 8 out sound card. I also think 6 effects is a waste of space, maybe a sampler bank. So you could fire off 3 or 4 at a time plus it would add room for the eq for 3 and 4 decks.

This project is an upgrade of RMX, so it should be a refresh of the current one. It has the possibility of adding 2 external source + 2 vdj source that can be controled by the source button like the RMX.

I understand your point of view but i believe that would be a different project not for a RMX though.

You know, as a VDJ controller how support only 2 decks (on the software), the price is one of the limitations concerning bigger projects, and the Hercules market doesn't support that kind of bigger upgrade...

The bigger market for vdj midi controllers, is 80% with this layout, so a bigger project won't be very accepted by the company...i think :)

Amazing! you've read my mind....Red its my favorite color (like my Ensoniq ASR-X Pro Sampler) I was planning to do this. But then i have other plans (it aint Virtual...hint) you go ahead and do it bro! Likoos great!
 
It's shouldn't go out too all, as in scratch DJ's. Why, because anyone that scratches really should be doing it on something more credible, this tool I for the bar and mobile user's, why not just leave it at that.

Actually I would like to see a return of the old skool jogs, the ones where you can fast forward and rewind plus pitch bend.
