Couple questions from those who have these controllers.

RMX- Using the microphone jack; How good is the sound quality? I have heard it is not good.
I have seen videos showing that is is pretty much plug & play. True or not?
I know that there are mappers available. Does this mean you can just load the available
mapper and use it, or do you need to remap it?

Mixtrack- How good does it work with the DJIO soundcard?
Maybe better to wait for the pro version. Any news on when that will be?

Thanks

The RMX uses drivers but the mapping is plug and play.
Im not sure on the sound quality but I have not seen any complaints.

Mixtrack is mapped also and will work well with the DJIO.
It does not require a driver.

rmx + 1

Definitely rmx over mixtrack.

just got the rmx.
In the process of setting things up.
Thanks

Rmx took me about 10 min to set up. Very easy to install and use.

how did it go bogart?

I got it working.
Only thing I seem to see a small problem with is the mic.
When you press the mic button, the music volume drops pretty low.
Also when you first open VDJ, I need to click on a folder using the
keyboard. After that I can scroll to any folder etc. using the buttons on the RMX.
Just played with it for a short time, so I don't have all the buttons figured out.
So far I like it.

yeah the when u turn on the mic, it intentionally lowers the music volume so that ur voice can be heard. regardless, the preamp in the rmx is not that good so ur mic volume will be not that loud. dont recommend relying on it for announcements.

That's too bad, as I was intending on not using a mixer.
Trying to lighten the load so to speak.

yeah same here, but since it is usb powered, it doesnt have too much power to work wit yknow wat i mean

Right, but for most of my needs, I think it will work.
I may build a case like Tayla (If he sends me the info).

have fun man
