We have some really great news for you guys and it will be coming in two parts very soon, the second part will be of interest more so for European users of VDJ. What I can say is we were up to 3am this morning working on the final details.

 
Tayla...that's great...now just to steal it back off my parents (they borrowed it for a european motorhome trip)...I wonder if you can get a premium rate number applied to a SIM card...lol
 
Amy plans in the making at all for an iphone app? I've been without firetext for a month now and it's starting to burn ;p
 
i use a bluetooth dongle

'course that's here in the US where we speak American

since yer dongle speaks a foreign language .....

you probably have to register it with the Ministry of Dongle Administration.....
 
@Simon_Bailey "premium rate" lolz, you defenitely would like what Tayla have as a second part of interest, and yes we do support GSM dongles in text mode and pdu mode (all kinds of dongles 07.05 etsi compliant)

@adamlonsdale well... a month ago we was saying no android support for now... well, a month later, we are about to launch a connector for android 1.5 and above, which of course will be integrated with the whole solution for Virtual DJ as well - so who knows... maybe next month I can tell you iPhone is supported :) there was no plugin a while ago; to get rid of Paul's prayers and tears we did it lolz
 
I did a search but nothing came up for firetext.
 
@atfmdj don't know what to say, works for me... Android Market -> Search -> firetext and appears - did it many times and also 190+ users already downloaded

@atfmj I'm sorry but I can't do that, we will avoid sending apps to users off the market and also over here for plugin, that is why the market is there for, if it's not working give me soemeting to open a ticket in Android Market as we did register as a full member there and shall work. check the plugin is free, don't look in the pay/commercial versions... thanks for your help in advance.
 
@atfmj you're right! Paul did tested in UK and is not appearing, but we don't know why.. we did sent an email to google whom replied - as always - in about 10 minutes "application is active" so we are working to find a workaround, if Android Market proves to be not too reliable to distribute for us, we will setup a section on main and beta FireText sites to download. will keep you guys posted...
 
I was able to get it, now how do I set it up for firetext.

@Tayla does firetext work in any country i.e. mexico?
 
if you got a phone and it's on our list it will work, even 'droids are now compatible.
 
@djpanda818 Sorry not Tayla here, but I believe you're interested in the answer more than whom is telling you from FireText International. FireText will work in any place, from Tijuana to Tapachuca, as long as you have a GSM 07.05 mobile phone or compatible dongle (some cdma phones may work as well), you have an android phone connected, you get a link to Twitter, got an email account, an msn account or even a short code or long code connection.

well both of u answered my question thanks im trying to get the club where i work at to buy it they own a copy of vdj 7 and have some nice big screens where this woud be very nice to have!

why in camera effect is not possible work without firetext logo ? Thanks
 
The logo will stay on the free version of Firetext at the present time.

We have been working away quietly in the background for a while now and in our next edition expect to see major changes...

text motion path (you pre select where you want it to go on screen), text animation, place multiple text anywhere on output, text synced to audio, free frame effects, video and images to audio, split visuals (if you have a projector great for sending images/video and text around the contours of a room or building, or have visuals in one section and text in another), these are just some of the effects you can look forward to.

I'll post more information down in the plugin section soon.
