Still doing the trail and still loving VDJ6.

I have the DMC2 and i want to use the Selector knob as the effect slider.

I still want to use the other things the knob does. Browse effet activate and so on.

I had a thought that if i press the FX/Sampler button to select FX and when the FX is active i should press FX/Sampler again and the FX led should flash and the selector knob is now the effect slider. Can this be done?

Yes, that's definately possible, although it's easier to map the jog wheel to be the effect slider. I have it set up so that it switches automatically whenever the effect is active.

It's a bit more tricky with the selector knob because there's actually 2 maps for it, one when you turn it clockwise and one where you turn it the other way.
 
I managed to get the selector knob as the effect slider, both ways. But i lost all the other functions
 
Copy it's original code and then type:

effect active ? effect slider : <<<<the code you copied>>>>
