I have been using VDJ for about 5 years now in a professional environment, and the program has served me very well. I have however just had a few issues with the program this weekend.
I added a few hundred new tracks to my database this week and re-indexed it in VDJ. I am now having major problems searching for tracks. The CPU usage shoots right up and crashed the program several times when typing into the search database. I did not previously have this problem.
Are there any tweaks I can make in windows or VDJ that will help to smooth out database searches?
My VDJ setup is a 2.13GHz centrino processor 2GB ram, 256MB video with a Denon HDC 2500 as a controller and audio output. I run a 1TB extenal HDD with a database of just under 60,000 MP3's and music video files. I also run the video output to display billboards on the club's video screens. The PC only has VDJ and a few support programs on it. It is not connected to the internet, and I have not installed any windows updates or patches recently.
Please note, My system was running smoothly until I re-indexed my database and added about 500 new tracks.
Any advice would be of help.
