I am quite confused. I currently have a 3-channel mixer and am interested in buying VDJ software as well as some form of an external controller, most likely a low-cost CDJ or even turntable if possible. Doing this, I hope to use VDJ on my laptop while being able to switch between the virtual decks and adjust the mid/treb/bass with my mixer, as well as have the option of the CDJ/turntable to allow for easy scratching/spinning effects. With that said, my ideal setup would consist of these three things (mixer, Laptop w/VDJ, and a CDJ/turntable).
***Would it be possible for me to do this; use all of the functions on the CDJ like pitch adjustment, cue, loop, et cetera an have it respond on the VDJ software?? So like when I spin the CDJ clockwise, the respective deck on VDJ will fast forward?
From what I've read, a Maya 44 soundcard may be be answer, but I cant ascertain for sure.
If this is indeed possible, what external hardware would be the best option, considering I'm on a low budget and can't afford the products listed on this site :( .
THe reason I am asking this is because I want an alternative to a product like Vestax's DJay "all in one" unit that I've seen a lot of people around my college use.
Help is much appreciated!!
