Hello yall, I am trying Virtual DJ and liking it so far. I have a question tho. I am plannin on getting one mixer that has the basic functions on this program, basically to make some mixes, no need for scratching. So, does every mixer have the option for headphone where you can preview the song in the headphones before putting it on for the audience. What mixers are compatible for this kind of stuff, not too expensive ones, I am pretty much beginner. If it is something like a controller with small scratch wheels, I guess it's ok, anyways you got the main point, something that I can throw small giggs with and have headphones to preview the song like the DeeZhays do.!

I recommend the Hercules RMX if you are looking to buy right now. The RMX has everything that you will need to start up, aside from the music. It has the benefit of getting a huge discount on VDJPro also. You will want to customize VDJ and its only possible with the Pro version.

If you can wait, the Hercules 4-MX would be a nice starter kit, assuming that it has a discount on VDJPro also.

Hi i was wondering were do the dj's get out the special effect that they want

Disregard this one, please see the one on the bottom.

Does the RMX has master out where you connect your master speaker(s) if you have more than one. I was reviewing it and it was pretty damn good controller, cay you like throw big giggs where u got lotsa speakers and stuff? Does it got the feature where you plugin your headphone and listen the song before putting it on, but the audience hears regular?

The RMX is a very capable mixer/midi controller. You have to get all your settings right.

The main outputs are powerful. They will easily drive powered speakers.

The crossfader controls the video as well as the audio. You would have to buy an 1,800.00 Rane TT57 mixer with serato built in to get the same control you get with the Hercules.

And you can connect 2 external players to the Hercules, giving you more options.

I have been in the business since 1979 and I recommend it

Not even a fair comparison...............I mean come on first the RMX is a contoller and the TT57 is JUST a midi mixer with a soundcard built in. Sure it has a few buttons but in the end its just a MIXER.
