Tópico: Crackling sound on 4 deck setup

Hi all

Just wondered if anyone could shed some light on this.

I have a Numark C3 USB Mixer and when i set up the advance sound setup and select deck 1 and deck 3 to usb soundcard 1 and deck 2 and deck 4 to usb soundcard 2 I get a crackling noise every so often on deck 2 and 4 when playing the song.

This does not happen when i have it set up as just a 2 deck setup through the 2 card option in the normal sound setup options.

Any thoughts on this.

What are the specs on your PC? Sounds like your PC may be slightly underpowered for more than two decks.
 
Duel Core 2.4ghz
1TB HDD
4GB RAM

It's desktop not a laptop.

Don't think it's the speak otherwise i should be getting the same problem on deck 1 & 3.
 
I'm going to lean towards the C3 being at fault. We used to have that exact mixer here in the club. I stopped using the USB because it didn't seem reliable. We now just have the regular C3 without the USB. Easy way to test, which may be easier said than done, is to try a different audio card.

You need higher latency at usb soundcard 2 ..

Crackles means your soundcard is running out of audio data, so you need to increase the buffer (latency).
