Hello Guys, I am really confused on what to do... My Current Setup is:
Pair of Denon DN-S3500 and X1500S Mixer ( Cd Players only use for backup if VDJ crashes - Mixer is my main control )
Numark Total Control
Core 2 Duo 4Gram Laptop. only one sound card, and divide decks A and B thru a Mono split cable.
It is working fine, but i am limited of mixing using the total control, which is not a professional thing and I have to use the total control to fade video and the Denon Mixer to fade audio. I carry two huge cases and dont have a "touch feeling of the mix" like using the denons or a turntable.
I am frustrated, so my next aquisition will be a Asus Gaming Laptop i7 core, 8Gig Ram 1.5TB Nvidia dedicated video card.
Now, i need advice on the hardware. Should i Get a NS7 to use wit VDJ and carry a backup ipod cd player? Should i get A Virtual vinyl kit and still use my DN-S3500 ( I Love It ) with the time code cds and still use the total control to fade video? dont know! please help!!
Does virtual vinyl works fine with the 3500s? Pitch, loop, etc ?
I need a CD Player capability for two reasons: Backup if computer crashes ( happens once in a while ) and a lot of times the customer brings cd-s of exquisite music for me to play.

Why don't you get the new Denon DN-X600 that recently came out, it has a built in sound interface so you can do time codes with your 3500s. The DN-X600 also does MIDI so you can assign the crossfader to the video crossfader in VDJ.

Buy the Ns7 instead. I would sell the Denon 3500 decks and use the money to buy the new deck. Dont buy Virtual vinyl because its not going to solve anything with the time codes. The spinning platters are better on the NS7 is alot better than the Denon 3500's. The 3500's feel like they have lag when scratching. Its longer platter hand movemnet compared to the NS7 shorter movement and its tighter.

No Doubt about the the perfect setup ... sell m y existing 3500s and get a pair of the the DN-s3700 Midi cd players and a x1600 with built in sound card. The problem is that we are talking about 3 grand right there. considering i just spent $1500 for a new asus G73 ( by the way, it was well spent money. The computer is off the hook! ) it sounds like an expensive solution.
damn... to be or not to be.. that is the question! ? !

I sold my Denon DN-S3700 a while back but they hook up to VDJ very easy....just install the denon asio driver, plug in the USB cord and turn on VDJ. I found the process very straight forward.

Each deck requires a USB lead to PC then, any way to hook decks upto mixer and then mixer upto pc with one lead?
