I have just purchased a Hercules Steel console which came with VDJ 5.0 (i think!)
Having been used to using decks and a mixer in the past, i would like to replicate the controls on my own mixer - what is really missing for me are "transform" buttons which reverse the action of the crossfader so that quick stabs of deck B can played whilst playing deck A. Also I used to be able to "cut" the track playing by flicking the line out toggle thus quickly killing the sound from the channel being played. Finally I don't like the curve of the crossfader as it is at the moment and would like to avoid the "quiet" spot in the middle of it's travel.
If I upgrade my version of VDJ will i be able to do the above?
Cheers in advance for any info.

Not sure VDJ 5 LE allows you to invert the crossfader. I know it is possible in 6 and 7 pro with a little mapping.
As for the line in switch, there was a "source" button that switches to the line inputs for each deck at the top of my RMX. Which sould do the same thing. It does not look like they are on the Steel version though. Probably because it does not have the sound card built in. Sorry
