Tópico: recomend me a laptop powerful enough to mix videos

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Hello guys this is my first post here, I'm a regular user of Torq Xponent I was using it in an very old toshiba laptop but for audio mixing worked just fine, now I want to move to videos obviously I want to buy virtual dj pro for that, because the torq doesnt support videos, but before anything happens I must buy a powerful enough laptop to output the video mixing, also I must mention that I would be using that laptop almost everyday for around 6 to 8 hours, I took a tour around the stores in my city but everywhere I go the guys in charge of selling the computers don't seem to know much about technical specs, and theres one particular theme that is making me go crazy, how much Ram is dedicated for video in the models I'm interested on I found one laptop that says it has 1 gb dedicated for video, but all the others dont offer much information about it, and also this particular laptop costs around 1,361 US on the limit of what I can spend, so before going for that one I would like to compare other models, maybe I dont really need that 1Gb of dedicated video memory I saw in your software specs that the recomended setting is 256 mb but I have a friend that has a mac with 256 and he cant really mix videos the transitions wont work in his machine whenever he enables them the music and videos slow down and he feels very frustrated because he went all the way to L.A to buy the mac and after that buying online the software from you guys, but thats another story.

so the question is this, could you guys give me some information about the laptop models that you use and if the videos output flawless without slowing down the sofware, I'm writing the prices so you cant tell me if they happen to be much more cheaper in US, I live in Mexico
an these are the prices I would be paying if I buy one of those laptops

this are the models that I'm interested on

HP Pavilion dv5-2046la (this one says it has Intel® HD Graphics I wondered around the internet and nobody seems to know how much memory it really has dedicated for video $ 1,121.724 USD

HP PAVILION DV6-3088 (I know this one has 1gb of dedicated memory for video or at least it claims that on the sticker) $ 1,361 US
but is on the limit of my budget

TOSHIBA A665-SP6001M (this one has video card HM55 but again not quite sure of much memory is dedicated to video $ 1,041.553

While Video Memory is an important factor in how well the video's will play, you really need to focus on processor speed and RAM.

Any newer DualCore processor should fit the bill and the more RAM the better, at least 2gb would be best.

And of course if you are planning on PLAYING your videos at any venue you're going to need an output... ie. HDMI, SVIDEO, or a conversion box off of an external VGA adapter.

Other than that, price, quality and warranty/reliability would be my only other suggestion to take into consideration.

Based off the models/prices you've listed, your budget is enough to get a very competant laptop for mixing videos.

Hope this helped.
