Hi Folks,

Just looking some straightforward advice as im new to VDJ 7 and im looking to find out more about the Auto Gain function.

Im using a Hercules DJ unit which also has gain functions/knobs

The two queries would be--

1. Gain is obviously very useful and if auto gain is switched on within VDJ and tracks correctred respecitvely, the software remebers this in the futUre.? Which setting shoudl i use for Auto Gain to achieve this?

2. If the external controller, (in this case Hercules) has a Gain function/knobs how does this conflict with the settings in VDJ? Is it best just to leave the gain function on th Hercules alone and let VDJ do it?

Im keen to share your experiences and see what is best?

Sorry of these queries sound basic folks, but do appreciate your feedback.

By default, VirtualDJ will automatically determine the optimal gain for each track and set it appropriately. This is saved in the database by default and will be remembered for the next time you load and play the song.

The gain knob on the a MIDI controller (Such as Hercules) will allow you to directly adjust the gain if you need to do so. In most cases this should not be necessary.
