Tópico: Sell Your Remixes!

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Hey everybody,

I am a professional DJ working out of Philadelphia and I, along with several other DJs in the area, am launching a new remix site in which DJs will be able to sell their remixes and make money off of what they love doing best.

Some details about our site (which is set to launch before the new year): we will be very selective with the DJs we chose for our site; we want the remixes to be not only good, but amazing. We will be looking to hire no more than 60 DJs at this moment in time. All genres will be listed and sought after, including hip hop, pop, rap, r&b, house, electro, party break, transition, 60s, 70s, 80s, megamix, bmore, etc etc.

You will need a DJ logo, so that when we list the songs we can have your art work next to the song, along with the following information for each mix: BPM, clean/dirty, running time, track name, and of course, your DJ/producer name.

What is going to separate us apart from crooklyn clan and the other remix sites out there? Our customer support. If you are like myself, you've tried emailing those remix sites and never even gotten a response. That will not be the case here. We will be in contact with all prospective remix artists and DJs through the entire selection process.

So, that all being said, if you would like to make big bucks selling your mixes, please send me a few samples of some work you've done and I will get back to you no later than 48 hours after you email me. My email address is MWitkin90@yahoo.com and I will not be checking this forum much, so don't respond here, make sure you email me. Looking forward to hearing from you guys, and best of luck out there in the clubs and at your mobile gigs.

I've never understood the legality of remixes.

Because you are taking a whole piece of intellectual property of someone else and even though you are altering it, it still remains someones else's property.

anyone feel like explaining that to me?

You are totally right, unless you have the permission from the original artist you are wide open to a huge lawsuit.
