i downloaded the trial and it wont open it keeps saying sumthing about kernel32.dll

True, it wont open without directx 9 installed and optimised.
 
Hey

Iv been having this problem with virtual dj for a few days now.
When i clikc on the virtual dj icon on my desktop a window comes up i press run and it opens the virtual dj bit and then an error message comes up saying directx sound driver error. I clcik ok, and then it the little error window will dissapear affter i click ok, and then the virtual dj loading part just stays still and doesnt load or open, i dont know whats wrong with it :( :/

Can anybody help me ??
I really need to fix it so i can keep mixing :)

It simply means you have changed the sound setup since you last played, just go to config > sound set up and adjust the settings to suit.

Digging up a post from five years ago must be hitting some sort of record.... lol
 
i have same problem. I have virtual dj 4.2 pc version with the dj mk2 hercules sound card. I cant go to config though because the program isn't starting. I have the mk2 console connected to the pc and when i open virtual dj program the direct x error pops up and then I click ok it just shuts the program off. I cannot go into config to change the sound setup in the program settings or config. Please help
