Looking to upgrade to this Mixer.
Have any of you guys have experience with it?
How does it function with Virtual DJ for Mac?

Mixer is built really nice. Love the fader. Sound card quality / latency is ok, could be better.

has anyone used it with VDJ and TIME CODES? I want to know how it works and is there a mapper for this that already configs the buttons to VDJ commands?

I´m using the x1600 but I´m not really happy with the sound card. Please don´t understand me wrong, the sound is really great but not useble for turntabelism. I mean the latency is to high for beat juggling and so on.
If the setting is optimized for scratching (low latency) you get pops and clicks if you rewind the wheel or if you use any sound effects.

Normal mixing is ok but if you want to do some turntable actions, this sound card is (in my opinion) not usefull. I think there is a driver issue. It will work with the latest firmware update but it´s not perfect for scratching.
My best setting is 228 samples 4-5ms but it´s not like 4ms with NI Audio8 (for example). With my Audio8 it´s possible to set 128 samples and all works great with more than one or two activated effects. But unfortunately not with the x1600.

I´m using a fresh new install. of Windows7 , Intel Code 2Duo 2GHz with 2GB Ram and Nvidia 8600GT grafic card.
The x1600 works with VDJ 6.1.2 and v7 .

If anyone have better experience with the settings I would appreciate :o)

I have my 1600 set to the lowest setting and it works well no drop outs/crackles

Try going to the latest firmware and driver, make sure you don't have any DPC latency issues with your PC,
with my wifi enables it's almost useless.

Thanks,

Realy?! I have it done on a XP and now my new Win7 system.
Yes of course with newest driver and firmware. In DPC latency checker all is in green area. No WLan or other things and whistles are enebled.

But no luck with this card. For normal mixing all is well and the sound is realy good (but the best sound ever is on Mackie's Pro DJ mixers ;) but I need for some turntable actions a bit lower latency like it is with my NI Audio8.

My lowest possible setting is 228samples (4ms) but the feel is like 768 or something like that.
Whats your settings in Denons driver settings and whats in VDJ?
