I was mixing some yesterday night and I had this feeling that my music was somewhat .. mm stuttering / fluctuating in tempo. Its not easy to put my finger on but the groove just didnt feel right, as if it was hesitating... Sound quality was ok, also no cracking or clitches, just.. this akward feeling of fluctuating tempo.
I use a HP 8710W Mobile workstation, Hecurles DJ console RMX, ASIO: 48Khz, 24 Bit, 10ms latency, virusscanner disabled, all programs shut down, music on a network drive (using wireless LAN, N 144Mbps). All MP3's are 320Kbps.
Its the regular setup that usually goes without trouble, however once in a while I get this and yesterday it seemed very obvious.
Since its hard to describe, its easiest to listen to get the idea of what I mean. I record these mixes each sunday night. You can find it on

From 8:20 to 8:50 seems to me like an obvious example (nono you are not hearing my mediocre mixing at that moment).
Are more people hearing and recognizing this or am I just crazy?

I've had that same problem mayne...
And what I was told was this. The best way to get around that problem is to pull music from and external hard drive, and record to another external source (like a thumb drive). I will be trying this method tonight, so I'll let you know what I've found.
