Tópico: How many laptops?

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Hi Guys. I am new on here and looking at possibly purchasing Virtual DJ. I believe that when purchased, I am only able to use VDJ on two laptops? If I downloaded VDJ, to start with, it would be on my home computer. I would then put it on my disco laptop.

My question is, if I was to purchase a new disco laptop in the future, would that mean I would have to pay for a new version of VDJ (having already used both the original downloads) or is there a way round this?

Thanks in advance

Mike.

If you buy the Pro-licence, you are allowed to install it to two computers.

Just remove from one then reinstall on the new one. The newest version is always available in your download centre.

Thanks, that is the answer I was hoping for.

Caution if you use your desktop computer to edit your files and then transfer the files on to your laptop, check to see if all of the tags are identical. For example Michael Jackson-Billie Jean. The file tag reads "Soul And R&B" after I have made changes I may want to call it a different Genre and also write a comment. When this file is opened up on the laptop-none of my editing apears and all that shows is the oringinal tag. I might post this query so wastch out for it.

@swingincat - please check you have a respnse to your own issue before scaremongering others. I have now responded to your post and there is nothing wrong, you just have to realise how VDJ works.

@MikeWDJ - If you get a new laptop for DJng with you are obviously retiring your old laptop so simply uninstall from the old and install on the new. We've all been through this process is one way or another...

Cheers,

Roy

Thanks Roy. This may sound like a really stupid question. But how would VDJ know that I had unistalled on my old laptop to allow me to install on my new one!

Mike.

It wouldn't, but I think if the Atomix software security flags your licence number being used on more than 2 machines your licence may be revoked for breaking the EULA.

I haven't heard of this happening but I guess there must be security built in to the program.
