if you want to use ony one effect with a button here is the script
effect 'myeffect' active
go to confing --> mappers--> select your divise-->key-learn--> "press the key you want to edit"--> action-learn --> "write down the script and place the effect name you want betwen'' in place of myeffect
effect 'myeffect' active
go to confing --> mappers--> select your divise-->key-learn--> "press the key you want to edit"--> action-learn --> "write down the script and place the effect name you want betwen'' in place of myeffect

So when in mappers I hit key learn(which is the button on the Rmx that I want to use)==> then hit the action learn and type in effect "stutter' active on and then click ok. then it takes me to the screen and say's click on interface for action learn. how do I click on the interface if its not the same layout as the Rmx? which i'm trying to use the source button since I have no timecode or use for it right now.
Thanks in advance..

The effect must actually exist in your Effects section of VirtualDJ. There is no effect called "stutter" as far as I am aware.
NOTE: VirtualDJ does not support frame cueing as found on some non-vinyl/scratch CD players.

Thanks that answers my question. But am I doing the right sequence when I am mapping my keys like the above post or is their a different way on doing it?

You can try Clax's Cut, or my Gates for example, if you mean stuttering on a stream.
But, if you mean CDJ's stuttering, there's no basic function to do that as far as I know. Maybe with some VDJscript you can.
