To be honest I think I'm just going to get a refund from iTunes for false advertisement (yes iTunes does that), then you'll be out $10 from me. All I wanted was one little xml file but I guess that was too much to ask for.

Making a skin is a lot of effort especially without the creator program, plus its even harder without the default skin. What's the screen size for instance? Besides its become more of a matter of principle now.

Well you are willing and fully able to take your principles where ever you like ... it's just unfortunate that you don't have the same level of respect for our own principles as you do your own.
So, yes; it's a matter of principle - and the principle here is that you get access to skins, effects, etc as a licensed user of the PRINCIPLE VirtualDJ applications - (PRO, PRO BASIC, BROADCASTER, and Limited Editions (LE)). Depending on which one you are a licensed user of you get various levels of access.
No where in the distribution of the VirtualDJ Remote application does it say you get access to FREE skins. It says "The Skin format is compatible with the popular VirtualDJ's skin SDK, and thousands of users are working on creating skins to fit every need. You can download their creations, or easily create one by yourself."
When you file your claim with Apple - just make sure you mention that you are wanting a refund because we wouldn't give you free skins.
Remember it's the principle of things that makes you believe that a refund is necessary.

Here we go again with talking down to me because I'm poor. I actually was thinking of saving up to buy the broadcaster edition, but if this is they way I'm going to be treated, forget it. Congratulations on being rich enough to blow 400 dollars on a piece of software. Society thanks you for your contributions.

First off - you created an account and immediately started complaining. Then you proceeded to claim that people should not buy the software because you didn't get something for free. Then you take everything as an offensive comment towards you, because they are not the answers you want to hear.
I empathize that you may not be able to afford the PRO version at $299 (not $400). And if you want to get the PRO Basic or Broadcaster - then that is great. But, seems a bit far fetched that you only share that after you know your original argument was incorrect.
So, again - still your choice and hope you choose well and are successful with whatever you get with your decision.

Skins, tools and plugins have always been available to paid users only. Atomix can't be giving away the whole house for free, they will let you crash on the couch, but if you want to enjoy the perks you need to pay rent to the man! That's how it goes in life.
Does the free Version of VDJ even allow you to upload a skin onto the Iremote?
The way I see the $10 you paid gave you the right to use the iremote app with its default skin.
hopefully deckAdance or Traktor will make you an Iphone app some day.
You can also use TouchOSC to help you achieve what your trying to do. There's plenty of tutorials on youtube that will show you how to do it.

Of course there is still incentive, all I'm asking is that the iRemote skins be free, nothing else. I would even be wiling to pay a little extra to get skins for iRemote, but with the default skin the app is almost unusable.
Well maybe you can explain why its unusable for us, no never mind.

Lets put it this way. Lets say I buy a remote for my TV that doesn't have a cable service. I'm not saying that buying the remote entitles me to free cable service, thats ridiculous. But I shouldn't have to pay extra to reprogram my remote should I?
Poor analogy, a better one would be you got the service but want the premium channels for free.

I just don't get why you have to discriminate against the users, like me, who can't afford your software, which in my opinion is WAY overpriced compared to your competitors.
What I don't get is how you have spent the money on the iphone or ipad and pay the monthly data and internet fees which aren't cheap by any means. But, claim instead you can't afford the software for which you have the price wrong on for starters and would have all the access needed with the $99 Basic version.
Top that off by opening this with:

Don't purchase VirtualDj! I've had nothing but awful experiences with this piece of software. The software is mediocre compared to DeckaDance or Traktor at almost twice the price! The interface is sloppy, the effects are minima.
Your remarks to readers to not buy something you've not even bought yourself leaves your credibility at -5, top that off with the fact that you haven't mentioned one word to back up your "awful experiences" takes it to a -8.
Your claim to no response from this company is totally false being your ticket was posted on Sat night at 5pm and answered by me at 11am on SUNDAY MORNING, now -10.
