Tópico: VDJ 7 no cue mixing function?

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Ok, first, I am not using an external mixer and I am able to hear each deck "separately" on the heaphone, problem is in VDJ 7 there isn't a "cue mix" function so I can't hear both decks at the same time, what's the situation here please? I remember VDJ 4 having this cue mix function.

It depends on whether the skin that you are using has this function.

The VirtualDJ 7 4 deck skin does (MIX knob at top of the screen), but the 2 deck skin does not.

Some custom user-made skins may also have this feature: http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/skins.html

its far better if you do this on your external mixer though ;)
Most all external mixers have this function

Thanks, does anyone know of the latest 2 deck skin which has the cuemix function and wher eit can be found? If nt, then where can I find the version 4 skin please?

A friend of mine sent me a DNS-3500 skin, this apparently has the cuemix option but I am not seeing a "SKIN' folder on this hard drive. VDJ was installed in Program Files->Virtual DJ and there only these files in it:

virtualdj_pro.exe
unwise.exe
ripvinyl.exe
ripdvd.exe
install.log
eula.txt
crashguard.exe

Any idea of how I can add this skin please?

I just found this same DNS3500 skin in the link above, placed it in the VDJ folder [as mentioned I don't see a SKINS folder] and tried to run the exe but I keep getting a "Internal error 5" message?

It's in the VirtualDJ subfolder under your documents folder.

If it's an exe then you need to run it. If it won't run it's corrupted and you're best off redownloading from this site.

Thanks, got it, works BUT I am still not hearing both decks at the same time via headphone, I still have to click inside either deck to hear that deck play, is this the way this works when NOT using an external mixer? Meaning, is the only way I am going to hear both decks at the smae time via headphone would be to use an external mixer?

Charlie, I can't help you as I just downloaded the Home edition to test and have fun at home (I'm more of the vynil / SL1200 generation) but maybe you can help me : I don't have a mixer either so, how did you connect your amplifier and your headphone? They should be on diferent connections : one for the master sound and one for cueing ... My laptop has one sound out and one sound in jack. How did you solve it?

Cheers Benoit
