I just picked up an Acer Aspire One 10 inch netbook to try out as a backup for gigs. audio plays fine with no glitches other than slow loading of videos but i expected that. I am noticing a delay in the video to audio where it seems the video is off by a delay of a second or two. I haven't gone crazy with disabling everything just turned off a ton of bloatware program process and some basic windows 7 performance tweaks.
I remember seeing somewhere that people where getting them to work fine with video as a backup machine. what all did you do for it to work? I don't expect to be running this machine as a full out gig machine but it would be nice if i could know the video side of things could be used if needed.
Specs
Intel Atom N450
2 gigs ram
Intell Graphics Media Accelerator 3150
120 gig HD

I've got a similar Acer netbook myself... how did you get the video to run externally at all? I thought extended desktop mode was disabled in Windows 7 Starter...

i haven't tried it externally yet. just with the vms4 as midi and sound going through a powered speaker. i'm gonna start looking for the xp drivers and go back to xp for the back up machine.
