Tópico: Can I do video mixing like he did?

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

I watched VDJ demo with DJ Larry D (I Think that was his name). He was doing stuff I only dream about doing. Here's my question. Was he using just the VDJ 7 or more. He also had a huge mixer and other items. Do I need different software to do the mixing he was doing? If I do what do I need to get. If not how do I do it? What about clipbanks, do I need more software to make them?

Thanks

everything he does you can do, if you have the skills of course. his mixer and turntables/cdj's are hoooked into vdj by means of a sound card or a controler with built in sound card.

this is not difficult to do but you will need other items. sample banks can come in various forms. he might have a mixer with built in sampling. or he may have a midi enabled mixer that allows him to control vdj's sampler from the mixer. he could be using a seperate fx unit. who knows? ive not seen this video you talk aabout but i can guarentee im not far off.

Do you know of any books or videos that give instructions on that sort of stuff?

he has the Numark NS7 and a lot of mashed up clips.
this video is awesome

Not skills, practice, practice, practice.....nothing comes easy...you MUST work at being a good/great DJ/mixer.....

you put your vid and audio clips together before a show, then run it in your set. but the work you put into a 10 minute video could take you hours to compile.... now thats the hard work.

just look at the time it took him to train those kids on the roller skates!

Thanks for the props! It takes me up to 2 weeks to make the pieces for my 10 minute sets. The video of babies skating is an old home movie of me & my homies when we were a lot younger. jk
