Tópico: mp3/mp4 file editing utility ?

Does anyone know if a software program is available that "auto-edits" the attributes of a mp3/mp4 file, particularly with "if/then" criteria?
Reason: I upgraded my lapton today and ported over all my files (mp3+mp4).
Now, they have all taken on the "Lastseen" value of today, instead of when they were 'last-seen' by the old PC. So, now I have no idea when the files were acquired, and I actually like to search based on age.
Since the "filedate" field is not searchable (I learned a few months back), it would be nice if I could find a program that would take the value for "filedate" in each file, and write it to the "Lastseen" field.
Then I would at least have a chronological, index-able field to sort my stuff.
Any suggestions? Thanks,

PS: IF such a program exists, would it mess up the .ini files, etc of VDJ, or does VDJ not really care what's in that field?

Did you happen to keep the old virtualdj database files? You may be able to still have all your old dates and play counts if you still have access to them if you copy then over to the new computer.

On the other hand, there is a program available called MediaMonkey.. www.mediamonkey.com

It will allow you to manage and change fields in the mp3s. Have a look. It may help later on.

Thanks Wish. I do have access to the info on the old PC, but how would I copy those 'tag' infos to the new PC?
 
The xml file containing all of the file information is stored in the Virtual DJ folder within My Documents.

Best option is to look for a file that contains "database" within that folder, then all you need to do is copy the file into the same location on the new PC.
