I have noticed strange bass overtones in songs that I speed up or slow down when keeping the pitch locked. Does changing the tempo create strange sounding overtones in the bass?

If you are using master tempo/keylock, check that your master tempo is set to Advanced Stretching in CONFIG -> Performances

Yes that does help, although there is still a rumple in the bass.

All I noticed was a 'metallic' sound once you change the tempo. Not hateful as it goes away w/ the next track or turning off MT and back on again.

This happens with Cd players also.
