guys trying to do a bit of updating of files ect..noticing that when i close vdj and check xml file doesnt seem to be updated ie time of update when i run mouse over it any ideas cheers guys

If your file is located in the external drive and you open the databse file in c:\, then your correct it shouldn't update that file, look at the path column in the browser or in the file info dialog to make sure the location of the that file....
If its in the ext. drive then go to the root directory of that drive and open it, it should appear...
If it shows up the the browser then it is written to A database file...

yeh they are on my externals on root drive....
just thought when you add to search db and do a bit of work that it goes on xml file in c/docmts
