I am moving and will be retiring as the resident DJ for a night club on Bourbon Street in New Orleans.
They are currently looking for an experienced DJ that is familiar with Virtual DJ for Friday and Saturday nights. They may also, need a DJ for Sunday T-Dance. The club supplies the music and equipment you will need to supply your DJ skills.
You will need to play a variety of music to a mostly party crowd, whatever it takes to keep the party going. The hours are usually between 8pm to 2am but, if the party is still going you will need to work longer. Also, special events Mardi Gras, French Quarter Fest, Jazz Fest, Southern Decadence and Essence Festival are all big events that they will need a DJ to cover. Plus special party events and private parties.
Every year for Southern Decadence the club puts on a street performance. Last years performers were Deborah Cox, Kimberley Locke, Jeanie Tracy and Erika Jayne. As the DJ I performed prior to the show and after the final performance.
