Okay here is the situation. I am using my HP IQ816 touchscreen and when ever I install anything newer then the 6.0.5 version of VDJ. two things happen.

( 1 ) the not so bad... When I have my finger on the deck holding the song in place, the song will automatically start playing after a few seconds even though my finger has not moved or been taken off. Now the software will work well for a bit and then out of no where this starts happeneing.

Now number ( 2 ) The really bad thing.

After a while of playing, if I touch the screen and use the deck to cue up a spot in a song ( forward or backwards ) suddenly a crash guard screen appears. Asking me to either shut it down or try to recover. Now again this just suddenly happens after I play for a while.

Now the above stuff is not a 1 time thing. The deck playing on its own will always do it, but if I reboot, it again takes some time before it starts playing on its own again. But the crashing thing. As soon as it happens the first time. If I reboot or not, it will happen everytime after I touch the screen and move the wheel to cue a song.

Now the crashing things does not happen if I use the wheels on my console to cue the song. And the music will not start on it's own if I am not touching the screen.

I have had this problem ever since there went past version 6.0.5 of VDJ. I have to use an older copy ( 6.0.5 ) and everything work great.

Thanks
Kory

I dont think that it has to do with VirtualdJ since i run a Touchscreen with ver 7 with no issues.

About your first issue, i think somehow you have to disable the action that your touchscreen does after holding your finger to a position for a while. Mine does a rightclick, but i disabled as well.

About the crash, post here the contents of the Crashreport.txt file (you can find it in MyDocuments/VirtualdJ folder) and your hardware specs to check.

Thank you.
