Hey, I throw a track on a deck and it takes a while for it to upload. All my music is on a NAS and this happens even when I'm hardwired. I thought it may be because of the NAS but when i minimize VDJ and then return to VDJ the track downloads much quicker (the longer I have it minimized the most likely the track has fully uploaded so that it's just a matter of seconds vs a minute or more).
I'm using VDJ7 (downloaded 2 days ago). I'm on WIndows 7 with a 1.73 Intel Pentium M processor, DX compatible sound card, 2GB of RAM and 28GB of free space.
Thanks,
Hector

From what I'm gathering and the problems I've had with Version 7, it seems like a huge memory hog, especially for graphic cards.
Judging by the specs on your laptop, I'd say your video card is older, which is most likely why minimizing VDJ makes the song upload quicker because minimizing reduces the load on the card. I would suggest increase your screen resolution or upgrading your video card. Updating the video drivers is a good idea too.
